Ryman Healthcare announces that James Miller has informed the Board of his intention to step down as a director in order to create capacity for his recent appointment as Chair of the Financial Markets Authority. James Miller joined the Ryman Board in June 2023 and has served as Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk (AFR) Committee since January 2024. To support an orderly transition, James will remain on the Board until the end of October 2026. Ryman Chair Dean Hamilton said, "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank James for his commitment and service to Ryman since joining in 2023. James has made a significant contribution to the company, particularly through his leadership of the AFR Committee overseeing substantial change for Ryman to improve the company’s financial reporting and performance transparency.” The Board has appointed David Pitman as Chair of the AFR Committee with immediate effect. David joined the Ryman Board in May 2024 and has been a member of the AFR Committee since that time. Mr Hamilton said, "The AFR Committee is in excellent hands with David. His strong financial expertise and deep retirement sector experience, including his previous roles as Global Finance Director of BCG and CEO of Stockland's retirement living business, have been valuable additions to both the Board and the AFR Committee. Together with myself, we provide significant continuity to the Committee.” The Board will commence a search process for a new director.
