He brings extensive international experience across supply chain, procurement, operations and innovation, together with a deep understanding of the global protein industry and the investment priorities of some of the world’s largest processors,” said Scott Technology Chair Stuart McLauchlan. “JBS has been a longstanding shareholder and a valued customer of Scott, and Jerson’s appointment further strengthens that relationship while adding highly relevant capability to the Board as we execute our Destination 2030 growth strategy.” “Scott has increasingly global ambitions, and we look forward to Jerson contributing his experience and perspective as we continue to scale the company internationally,” adds Stuart McLauchlan. “I have seen first-hand the value Scott’s technology can bring to complex processing environments, and I’m pleased to be joining the Board as the company enters its next phase of growth,” said Jerson Nascimento Jr. “Scott has a strong foundation, deep engineering capability and significant international opportunity, and I look forward to contributing my experience as the business continues to scale under Destination 2030 – and beyond.” The Board has determined that Jerson will not be an Independent Director for the purposes of the NZX Listing Rules due to his role with a JBS USA entity which shares the same ultimate parent entity (JBS NV) as the company’s majority shareholder, JBS Australia Pty Limited.
