UNITAID Response to TruScreen Grant Proposals

NZX/ASX Announcement 23 September 2026 UNITAID response to TruScreen's Global Cervical Cancer Elimination Grant Proposals Truscreen Group Limited (NZX/ASX: TRU) (TruScreen or Company) advises that the three proposals submitted in April 2026 in response to global funder UNITAID's Call for Proposals: Accelerating Cervical Cancer Elimination through Secondary Prevention in Low and Middle Income Countries, were not selected for further development on this occasion. TruScreen’s efforts and engagement in responding to their Call for Proposals were acknowledged, and the Company was encouraged to respond to future cervical cancer elimination Calls for Proposals. The April 2026 proposals were: • Proposal 1: Sub Saharan Africa Scale-Up – a 36-month scale-up of TruScreen as a standalone AI-enabled screening tool across six African countries, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Eswatini, Rwanda, Nigeria, and Kenya • Proposal 2: African Screen-and-Treat Programme – a transformative proposal to introduce a same-visit screen-and-treat model across the same six African countries • Proposal 3: Asia-Pacific & Latin America Scale up – a proposal to address the cervical cancer crisis Asia-Pacific and Latin America, in China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Mexico, Malaysia, and Thailand While these TruScreen led proposals would not proceed, their development strengthened key relationships with a consortium of internationally recognised implementation NGO partners, with which the Company intends to partner with in the future. We believe that TruScreen’s cervical cancer screening technology is ideally suited for Low and Middle income countries. We will continue to market our technology to contribute to the WHO 90-70-90 cervical cancer elimination strategy with the successful recipients of the UNITAID grant funding. TruScreen is also the technology provider to a UNITAID grant application by a global NGO, which remains under consideration There is also a grant proposal under consideration by the Clinton Health Access Initiaive (CHAI) that included the following partners: • National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe (NAC) - the apex body responsible for coordinating Zimbabwe's national response to HIV and AIDS, with which TruScreen has maintained a formal partnership since 2022 • PATH - a global nonprofit organisation that drives transformative innovation in health to save lives. • Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) - a Nigerian nonprofit institution within the Solina Group, dedicated to accelerating positive health, social, and economic reforms through high-quality programme design, implementation, and capacity building • RedAid Nigeria - a Nigerian community health organisation with a strong presence in primary and community-level health service delivery. • Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation Eswatini - the national leader in paediatric HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis care in one of the world's most heavily HIV-affected countries. TruScreen’s African expansion continues at pace. Nigeria will have TruScreen’s first African reference clinic with training already completed for a 300 patient clinical evaluation. This will support the application for TruScreen’s inclusion in the Nigerian national screening guideline and government screening programs. Nigerian regulatory product approval is expected to take 3 to 6 months. According to the WHO GLOBOCAN 2024 estimate Nigeria’s estimated cervical-cancer burden remains materially higher than the global average: approximately 23.9 new cases and 14.1 deaths per 100,000 women annually, versus the global figures of 12.4 and 5.5, respectively. WHO estimates that 12,312 Nigerian women will contract cervical cancer and 7,599 Nigerian women will die from cervical cancer each year. Zerocancer Professional Consult Limited (ZPC) is the appointed TruScreen distributor for Nigeria, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire. TruScreen is also the selected screening technology for two other Nigeria-specific grant applications pending final decisions, led by Dr Ayokunle Olumodeji from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM). These grant applications are: • Gates Foundation’s Grand Challenges: Innovations in Cost-Disruptive Tools for Diagnosis and Screening (OPP12345) program • Beginning Investigator Grant for Catalytic Research (BIG Cat) - supported by American Association for Cancer Research In summary, TruScreen has the following ‘live’ grant applications which should be announced by 31 December 2026. 1.
