Summerset Appoints Sue Matthews as Independent Director

NZX & ASX RELEASE 22 October 2026 SUMMERSET APPOINTS SUE MATTHEWS AS INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR Summerset Group Holdings Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Matthews to the Board of Directors. Ms Matthews will join the Summerset Board as an Independent Director on 1 February 2027, replacing Dr Marie Bismark who will retire from the Board at Summerset's Annual Shareholder Meeting in April 2027. Summerset Chair Mark Verbiest said Ms Matthews' appointment supports the Board's ongoing succession planning and brings extensive executive leadership, governance and healthcare experience as Summerset continues its growth across New Zealand and Australia. "Sue is an internationally respected healthcare leader with significant experience governing and leading large, complex organisations through periods of change and growth. "Her expertise in health system leadership, organisational transformation, strategy and governance will be highly valuable as Summerset continues to expand and evolve. We are delighted to welcome Sue to the Board." Ms Matthews is currently Chief Executive Officer of The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne and serves as Co-Chair of the Victorian Local Health Services Network. She is also a Director of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited and a member of the Victorian Women's Health Advisory Committee. She has held a number of senior executive and governance positions across Australia and Canada during a career spanning clinical practice, executive leadership and governance. Mr Verbiest also acknowledged the significant contribution of Dr Bismark, who will continue as a director and Chair of the Clinical Governance Committee until Summerset's Annual Shareholder Meeting in April 2027. "Marie has made an outstanding contribution to Summerset since joining the Board in September 2013.
